Jamie has a wealth of experience in Orthodontics (straightening teeth), for both adults and children. He has a calm, gentle and highly ethical approach and will always take time to give detailed explanations of the treatment options.
Orthodontic treatment has changed enormously for the better over the years, and now rarely causes discomfort.
The success of his treatment is underlined by the fact that most of his patients come to him through recommendations from other patients who are delighted with their straight teeth and happy smiles. Many people come to Jamie for his specialist opinion and advice after first having unsuccessful consultations elsewhere.
Jamie is a consultant at St George’s and King’s College Hospitals where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate dentists as well as treating patients with complex orthodontic problems. He is also an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
He qualified with honours in 1997 from Newcastle University. He gained his MFDS qualification with the TC White Medal in 2001. He studied for his orthodontic qualification at the Eastman Dental Hospital with a distinction in his masters in 2004. He passed the MOrth examination the following year and completed his consultant training with FDS (Orth) in 2007.
He has a special interest in the multi-disciplinary management of his patients, particularly those needing paediatric or surgical care and is a member of the British Orthodontic Society.
You can see Jamie for an appointment at the practice early on Tuesday evenings.
We asked whether Thomas’ teeth were still looking wonderful…
“Yes, he’s got a girlfriend – all thanks to Jamie!”
