Specialist Orthodontist
Ali Payam Sattarzadeh has been lead consultant orthodontist at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital since 2010.
Ali is very experienced and especially enjoys treating the most severe adult and child cases that are referred by specialist colleagues, as well as general dentists. Patients are also routinely referred for remedial orthodontics where previous treatment has failed.
His areas of interest include non-surgical treatment of anterior open bites, management of cases with multiple congenitally missing teeth, orthodontic treatment which reduces the reliance on patients to have prosthetic replacements through use of mini-implants or auto-transplantation of teeth.
Ali works closely with a multidisciplinary team including Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons and Restorative Consultants. He has also been training orthodontic specialists since 2013.
He completed his specialist orthodontic training at The Royal London and Ipswich Hospitals, in 2008. Thereafter completed further training at Kings College and Royal Surrey Hospitals, leading to the award of Fellowship in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in England, in 2010.
Ali has a firm belief that prospective patients would prefer to see visual examples of patients who initially presented with similar problems to their own.
