Why have orthodontic treatment as an adult?
The positioning of your teeth can have a huge impact on your overall facial appearance.
People who think they have a weak chin are often surprised to find that the problem is in fact an overbite – where the top teeth protrude over the top of the bottom teeth – which can be relatively easily corrected with orthodontic treatment. Equally, an underbite – where the bottom teeth protrude – can give the impression of an overly large chin, and can again be treated with aligners.
Crooked teeth can also cause some functional problems – difficulty in chewing food properly or even, in some extreme cases, speech impediments.
